Introduction to the evening news 21-08-2012
Danger looms on the horizon, sounded by alarms and red flags being raised countrywide. Last night Beirut’s Southern suburbs took center stage; with high-ranking figures now “speaking” of those dangers. The hopeless Lebanese citizen is left with nothing and no one to turn to.

President Sleiman took his turn in sounding the alarm as well, calling the latest events as “outrageous” and demanding all authorities to exert all possible efforts.

For his part, Speaker Nabih Berri rang the “alarm of chaos” and called on the Lebanese to be wise and face this “insanity” reflected in kidnapping, sniping, blocking roads and military councils.

As for the Prime Minister, he warned of dragging the country into “the burning flames surrounding Lebanon.”

It seems that the alarm did not only echo in Lebanon. Moscow warned of any Western interference in Syria, as Syria itself considered that foreign military interference should remain out of question.
