The joint parliamentary committees’ session to vote on the electricity plan was adjourned until Wednesday.

“National Struggle Front” MP Akram Chehayeb said that the session witnessed “serious discussions” and many political positions were made on the electricity plan.

MP Robert Ghanem headed this session held at the Parliament’s Public Library Hall, in the presence of Energy Minister Gebran Bassil, Finance Minister Mohammad Safadi, Director General of Lebanon's electricity company (EDL) Kamal Hayek, the Energy Minister’s production consultant Raymond Anjar and his transportation consultant engineer Zakaria Rammal, the Finance Minister’s budget consultant Elias Charbel and a number of MPs.
