Back to the border: four citizens from Arsal killed by helicopters raid
Four Lebanese nationals were killed by Syrian helicopters raids when they were working in the agricultural fields in the town of Jousieyh on the Syrian territory. Three of the dead are from the town of Arsal and are Ramez Bou Fares, Marwan Bou Fares and Asmaa Ahmad Khalaf, while Youssef Khalaf is still missing.

The relatives of the dead were unable to transport the bodies to the Lebanese side, so they buried them in Syria while the funerals were held in Arsal.

The residents stressed that there are many Lebanese nationals trapped in Syria after closing the Syrian crossing point in Jousiyeh. Theses nationals, living in fear of killing and kidnapping, call on the Lebanese government to protect them from any material or physical damage to which they could be exposed.

The residents in Arsal reiterate that the Lebanese security forces located near the borders are failing to preserve security in the region and protection for the citizens.
