More than a year has passed and Shibley Alaiseme is still missing
One year and three months have passed since the kidnap of one of the founders of the Baath party Shibley Alaiseme, from Aley in the middle of the day.

His family still mentions the term “death”, despite the fact that the release of Yaacoub Chamoun “lit the flame of hope”.

Alaiseme‘s daughter, Rajaa Charafeddine said that “for seven months she has not received any news from her father”, and she does not know whether he is alive or dead. She noted that Shibley Alaiseme was kidnapped by the party he founded, adding that her father has a great political weight.

In a statement to LBCI, Rajaa blamed the government, especially the ministries of interior and foreign affairs, noting that she also blames the regime which kidnapped a founder of its ruling party. “If the regime fears a child, how could not it fear a man like Shibley Alaiseme” she asked.
