Introduction to the evening news 08-09-2012
The latest events in Rweiss area remain vague. The LAF’s operations since last night might be an attempt to release the Turkish hostage from Mokdad Clan’s hands, or not.

The operations might also be a simple execution of the judiciary warrants against those who are accused of the kidnapping.

Where does Hezbollah stand in this whole mess and to which destination the weapons that the LAF confiscated today were sent?

But most importantly, where is the Turkish hostage?

There are no official answers until now and the mystery grows as the Mokdad Clan’s military wing became so important in a very short period and now it became the scapegoat.

Meanwhile, President Sleiman’s positions from Amchit today were remarkable.

Lebanon’s president commented on Fromer Minister Samaha’s case and said: “We were not and we will never be blackmailed! I ask the Judiciary to free itself from fear, threats and allusions’ chains.”

“What I said to the Syrians in Tehran is the same thing I said when the explosives were confiscated”, Sleiman added.

In another context, Vatican’s spokesman said today that the Arab Spring and the situation in Syria oblige the Church to stand next to the Christian communities in the region.
