Ministry of Education denies schools shutdown over Coronavirus concerns
Minister of Education Tareq al-Mazjoub said on Friday that he is following up on the first case of Coronavirus in Lebanon.
The minister stressed that the concerned parties at the ministry are partaking in the periodic meetings held by the committee formed by the premiership in this regard.
He also said that a team from his ministry is following up with the World Health Organization since more than a month over the latest developments around the world related to the Coronavirus.
The minister concluded by denying that he issued any statement stating the shutdown of schools over Coronavirus concerns, saying that there is no need for panic.
He also called on the schools to call the hotline set by the ministry (01/772186) when there is a need to report any school health matters.
