Mikati promises that no increase will apply on academic fees this year
From his Twitter account Premiere Najib Mikati promised that "there would not be an increase on the academic fees this year".

"I will personally discuss the issue with the Ministers of Education and Economy", he said.

Commenting on the anti-Muslim film, Mikati said that "he condemns such a movie which depicts the Prophet's image in such a derogatory way," stressing that this movie is "included in a series of abuses to the image of the Islamic religion and its values".

"The reactions of the Muslim and Christian religious leaders are a proof that they all reject any insult towards the sacred symbols", he added.

Mikati emphasized however that the "bloody" reactions are not a way to defend the values of Islam.

"Killing innocent people is unacceptable and condemned by the 3 major religions", the final tweet said.
