Damaging canbabis crops in Bekaa resumes
Upon the request of Interior Minister Marwan Charbel and orders from the Director General of Internal Security, General Ashraf Rifi, the completion process of damaging prohibited crops in the Bekaa area started on Tuesday morning.

Amid wide security proliferation, the process started from Deir el-Ahmar region with 12 dunums so far destroyed.

In this framework, head of the Municipal Council in Yamouni said that citizens aren't against damaging prohibited crops, but if the state doesn't find alternative crops, planting of cannabis plants will resume next spring.

In this context, Sleiman held on Tuesday several meetings and made phone calls to follow up on the case of cannabis crops destruction.
