Siniora seeks EU Red Line for Lebanon
During his meeting with the Political and Security Committee of the European Union which includes ambassadors of the 27 member states of the union, Siniora considered that the uprising in Syria has reached a critical stage knowing that more than 150 persons are dying each day.

He pointed out that the involvement of some Islamic elements in the conflict is in fact the result of the lack of progress in achieving the goals of the uprising.

Siniora condemned both violent reactions sweeping the Arab and Muslim Worlds following You-Tube film-showing, as well as the film deemed offensive to Islam.

He commended recent Francois Hollande and Barak Obama's pro-Arab Spring utterances.

Head of the Future Bloc also stressed that economic prosperity and democracy represent the first anti-terrorism line of defense in the Arab World.

Siniora reiterated calls for establishing an independent Palestinian state and drew attention to minimized chances for peace given the appalling toll of daily casualties at the hands of Assad's regime.

Siniora ended on a note that partnership between Arab youth and Europe is for the mutual benefit of Arab-Western neighbors.
