European Union reaffirms its commitment to Lebanon's sovereignty

Prime Minister Najib Mikati met on Saturday with the EU ambassadors in the Grand Serail and discussed with them developments on the regional and internal scenes.

Spokesperson of the EU delegation Olof Skoog stressed the EU’s commitment to Lebanon’s sovereignty and independence. He also pointed out that mechanisms will be studied to support the Lebanese Army.

He commended the policy of self-distancing pointing out that the Union will remain along with Lebanon to prevent withdrawals of the crisis to its land.
