Various motor accidents leave 2 dead, several injured across Lebanon
A BMW reportedly crashed into a tree on al-Mouktara road Monday morning, causing injuries to the driver Haytham Nazih and his companion Iyad Assaf. Both men were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment; however Iyad Assaf later succumbed to his wounds.            

In Jdeideh, at al-Ferdaws Street, a 2003 Murano 4x4, with a registration plate number 384826/J, driven by 45-year-old Ali Rabah, collided with a Honda Accord, with a registration plate number 13326/J, which was under repair in an auto repair shop owned by Lebanese citizen Maroun Bader. The accident injured 65-year-old Elias Abdel Karim who was taken to St. Joseph hospital for treatment.               

On Safra Highway, an unidentified car hit 42-year-old Wahiye Ibrahim Yogmorian, who died immediately. His corpse was taken to St. Louis Hospital in Jounieh, while the driver escaped to an unknown direction.
