Geagea blames Hezbollah, allies for crisis
Lebanese Forces party leader Samir Geagea said on Tuesday that the military activity seen on Monday along the border with Israel was a “clear indication the current Lebanese government, which is backed by Hezbollah, doesn't have sovereignty in the south, along Israel’s border, where thousands of U.N. peacekeepers are based.

“Which Arab and foreign countries want to deal with a government that considers itself nonexistent at a time when Lebanon is facing a security danger along its border?”Geagea said during an interview with the Associated Press.

On another note, Geagea stressed that Lebanon received in the past aid from several Arab and western countries but wasted them, adding that a new and independent government is the only one capable of restoring the confidence of the International community.

Geagea also said that the alliance between of Hezbollah and President Michel Aoun “has brought Lebanon to where it is and they will continue to do the same in the months to come.”

“As long as they are in power, the crisis will continue. It is a very simple and clear equation,” Geagea said.
“They are living on a different planet,” he added.

Geagea also said that “as long as the state's strategic decisions are in Hezbollah's hands, Lebanon’s relations with Arab states will continue their deterioration.”
