APIC: We are constantly communicating with private banks and through them, with BDL
The Association of Petroleum Importing Companies issued on Tuesday a statement.

The statement said that “some fame-seekers and pretenders have been lately issuing statements tackling the relations between oil importing companies and private banks, and disputes with the Central Bank of Lebanon regarding the settlement of banking credits, which are nothing but false and misleading claims.”

“The Association of Petroleum Importing Companies (APIC) assures that no one has the right to speak on behalf of the companies, and that the companies can directly communicate with the media or through the Association,” the statement went on by saying.

The APIC also confirmed “that the oil importing companies are constantly communicating with the private banks, and through them, with the Central Bank, and cooperating with the official authorities in order to meet the needs of the market, despite all the issues and obstacles resulting from the well-known economic situation.”
