Aridi: Jumblatt will remain in government

Public Works and Transportation Minister Ghazi Aridi stressed that Deputy Walid Jumblatt would remain in this Cabinet as long as a new Cabinet is not formed.

Aridi accused some sides of inflaming strife in Lebanon, calling on all parties to contain the situation and to be responsible.

"We should all benefit from the available opportunity and maintain stability in Lebanon and refuse to spill over the Syrian turmoil into Lebanon", the minister told Voice of Lebanon radio.

On the other hand, Aridi supported proportionality in the new electoral law as long as it is based on reform.

The minister asserted that the National Struggle front is open to discuss any proposal.
