Zein interrogates Hassan Karaki accused of killing Colonel Jemaa

Military Investigative Judge Imad El Zein interrogated on Thursday arrestee Hassan Karaki for charges of murdering Colonel Abbas Jemaa.

Previously, an arrest warrant was issues against Karaki in absentia for forging a military court decision and the signature of the president of the court.

Amid the pursuit of wanted Karaki, an army patrol clashed with a number of armed persons in Beirut's Southern Suburbs' Ghbayreh area on Friday 21st of September 2012.

The pursuit led to several injuries among ranks in the LAF, some of which were serious.

Colonel Jemaa who sustained severe injuries succumbed to his wounds. He was born in 1970 in Bzebdine-Nabatieh, and is succeeded by a wife and two children.
