Mikati from the UNSC: We are committed to resolution 1701

PM Najib Mikati said that Lebanon is committed to United Nations Security Council (UNSC) resolution 1701, urging the international community to push Israel to implement the resolution and cooperate with the UNIFIL in order to demarcate the borders.

During his presidency over the UNSC in New York, Mikati stressed that Lebanon considers justice “the only way towards a just, comprehensive and permanent peace.”

Mikati expressed Lebanon’s keenness on Syria’s territorial integrity, people and unity; highlighting Syria’s right to recover all its occupied territories.
