Gunfire exchange on Lebanese-Syrian border

Gunfire exchange was reported on Wednesday evening on the Lebanese-Syrian border leaving no injuries according to a Lebanese Security Official who spoke to AFP.

The source added that the Syrian army launched shells towards Lebanon after gunmen allegedly opened fire from the border on the Aboudiyeh crossing.

“These shells landed near the Kabeer River,” he added.

Residents in the area reportedly fled their homes seeking shelter from the intensity of the clashes, the source said.
