President Aoun meets EU delegation

President Michel Aoun received on Monday a European parliamentary delegation at the Baabda Presidential Palace.

The delegation was formed of two French lawmakers: Thierry Mariani and Jean-Lin Lacapelle.

Talks reportedly featured high over the situation in Lebanon and ways of existing cooperation with the European Union.

The European delegation then headed to teh Grand Serail and met with Caretaker Prime Minister Hassan Diab.

The meeting was attended by Assistant Sophie Gill and PM's advisor for diplomatic affairs Ambassador Gebran Soufane.

Discussions deliberated on EU's assistance to Lebanon after the Beirut port blast, as well as France's efforts to help Lebanon in light of the current crisis.

In turn, PM Diab thanked the European Union and France for the support provided to Lebanon.
