Speaker Berri meets Central Bank Governor Salameh

Speaker Nabih Berri received on Wednesday in Ain el-Tineh Central Bank Governor Riyad Salameh.

Talks reportedly tackled the country’s financial situation whereby emphasis was placed on the need to implement the laws issued by the Parliament, especially those related to reforms, financial auditing, fighting corruption and the squandering of public funds.

On another note, Berri met with Caretaker Minister of Energy Raymond Ghajar who briefed him about the results of his visit to Iraq.
