"Touch" main converters damaged due to clashes

The information office of the Telecommunications Minister Nicolas Sehnaoui declared on Monday that clashes in the vicinity of the Beirut Arab University damaged the main converter of the "Touch" company and lead to the suspension of 6 stations, isolating the following areas from mobile networks: Tariq al-Matar, Jenah, Shatila, and Tariq el-Jdideh.

Clashes in Tripoli also damaged the main converter of "Touch" in Bab al-Tabbaneh causing the impediment of the 3G service in the area extending from Nahr el-Kaleb toward the Syrian Northern border.

It is worth mentioning that the 2G service is working normally in the above mentioned areas, and technical teams will commence repairs as soon as they reach the areas affected.
