Daher to LBCI: Hezbollah insists on Sunni-Shiite strife

Future Deputy Khaled Daher called on Tuesday for the resignation of the Cabinet and pointed out that the Lebanese people "want a neutral and sovereign government that works for Lebanese interests and not that of Syria."

Talking to LBCI during Nharkom Said, MP Daher said that the current Cabinet holds the responsibility of Brig. Gen. Wissam al-Hassan's death and considered that it now works on blurring the facts in the case of Former Minister Michel Samaha and Major General Ali Mamlouk.

Daher said that Hezbollah is controlling the cabinet, "if it does not resign, we will continue our demonstrations on the ground," he added."A state cannot be built if there were two armies," he added.

Moreover, MP Daher considered that March 8 is supporting criminals in Syria and Lebanon as well as militias at the expense of the state and its institutions.

"Hezbollah is insisting on Sunni-Shiite strife," he said.

Concerning National Dialogue, Daher mentioned that this dialogue will not be conducted prior to the Cabinet's resignation and pointed out that the next step is boycotting it on all levels.

Daher added that he received 3 threat messages from the Syrian citizen Haidar al-Assad.
