Sleiman supports Fouad Boutros’ electoral law

President Michel Sleiman said Thursday that “in order to adjust its electoral path, Lebanon must adopt the electoral law drafted by National Commission on Electoral Law Reform led by former Minister Fouad Boutros, be it amended or not.”

As Sleiman was granting the order of National Cedars Medal, rank of senior officer, to Boutros, he said that the reforms included in Boutros’ law are very significant if taken into consideration, since political life in Lebanon cannot be changed but through a new electoral law for the current one is no longer effective.
