Sleiman condemns attack on security forces in Arsal

President Michel Sleiman condemned the attack on security members in Arsal, stressing that "no matter what the motives are, such actions are unacceptable."

During his phone call with the ISF Commander Major General Ashraf Rifi, Sleiman asked the latter to conduct meticulous investigations to prosecute the violators and take the necessary measures to prevent the repetition of such attacks.

President Sleiman also contacted Foreign Affairs Minister Adnan Mansour and asked him to pursue the issue of the Lebanese nationals in the US who may have been affected by Hurricane Sandy.

The president later met with late Brig. Gen. Wissam al-Hassan's father Mr. Adnan al-Hassan. Sleiman reiterated his condolences and emphasized that "investigations will continue, until the murderers identities are revealed".
