Head of the Syndicate of private generators owners Abdo Saadeh said on Monday that they cannot replace the state in terms of providing electricity, adding that they cannot also provide electricity 24/7 to the Lebanese people.
Saadeh’s comments were made during an interview with Nharkom Said TV show whereby he stressed that that diesel oil is not available, adding that generator owners supplying from the black market.
"We can provide electricity for a maximum of 16 hours per day as we are today providing 20 hours of electricity, which causes generator failures," he added.
Saadeh called on the Lebanese concerned authorities to provide 6 hours of electricity at least, adding that they will start as of this week by rationing approximately 5 hours a day, and it can be divided between the day and night hours.
