Lebanon declares two days of national mourning for death of Sheikh Qabalan

Caretaker Prime Minister Hassan Diab announced on Sunday two days of national mourning for the death of the head of the Supreme Islamic Shiite Council Imam Sheikh Abdel Amir Qabalan.

This as a national day of mourning will be observed on Sunday September 5, 2021 and Monday, September 6, 2021.

Flags will also be flown at half-mast, while TV and radio shows will be amended to suit this painful evet.

Also, work will be suspended at public administrations and institutions on Tuesday, the day of the funeral.
