Najjar: Cabinet must fund the STL

Former Minister Ibrahim Najjar said Tuesday that “President Michel Sleiman and PM Najib Mikati are aware that no one can stop the STL”, adding that “keeping the STL funding issue away from divisive debates is a very positive sign for it shows that the government is seeking to reach an agreement on the matter.”

Najjar added that Lebanon is committed to all international agreements including paying its share of the STL costs.

Najjar told Nharkom Saiid TV show that “the cabinet must fund the Tribunal since Mikati and Sleiman had already voiced their commitment in this regard at the U.N. General Assembly.”
