Salam discusses ration card with World Bank Group delegation

Economy Minister Amin Salam received on Monday a delegation of the World Bank Group headed by the Regional Director of the Mashreq Department Saroj Kumar Jha, whereby they discussed the most prominent challenges, especially those related to The Emergency Social Safety Net (ESSN), as well as ration card.

During the meeting, emphasis was placed on the importance of the Economy Ministry's role in reviving the economy, creating job opportunities and protecting small and medium sized enterprises.

Additionally, they agreed to “hold periodic meetings between the two parties to ensure that all topics discussed are followed up on.”

Salam then received Malaysian Ambassador to Lebanon Azri Mat Yacob, as they discussed ways of enhancing trade and economic exchange between both countries.
