Protesters block the road in front of Electricity Company in Sidon

The southern city of Sidon has been witnessing protest movements on Monday, as citizens gathered in Elia Square in the city, rejecting the worsening living, economical, financial situation as well as the significant increase in the US dollar exchange rate.

They also tried to block the road, but the army prevented them.

However, they soon went to the Electricity Company and blocked the road in front of it with waste containers.

On the other hand, protesters cut off road in Beirut’s Riad al-Solh with waste containers, and others blocked the roads leading to Nejme Square in protest against their situation.
