President Michel Aoun affirmed on Friday that he would continue to exert strenuous effort in order to enable Lebanon to overcome the many difficulties and harsh conditions it is going through, hoping that the last year of his term will be the beginning of the actual rise and the start of the recovery process.
He believed that "the harsh conditions made Independence Day lose its joy, but we have the will to rebuild everything that was destroyed."
He pointed out that "Lebanon always seeks the best relations with the Arab countries, especially the Gulf States, and we hope that what led to a problem will be quickly resolved. The upcoming elections will show who wants to follow the rescue plan and who wants to reverse it."
