Salameh: 12 to 15 billion US dollars will help Lebanon in jump starting economy and restoring confidence

Central Bank Governor Riad Salameh said on Tuesday that Lebanon obtaining, under an agreement with the International Monetary Fund, a support ranging between 12 and 15 billion US dollars, will help in jump starting the economy again and restore confidence.

Salameh’s comments were made in an interview with Agence France Press whereby he said that "Lebanon’s share in the IMF is four billion, and countries can add to it through the IMF.”

 

“We can usually reach an amount ranging between 12 and 15 billion dollars which will help Lebanon in jump starting and restore confidence."
