EDL workers' syndicate meet with Energy Minister Fayad
The syndicate of Electricité Du Liban workers met on Wednesday with Energy Minister Walid Fayad, whereby they discussed the situation of electricity, and the citizen's suffering from permanent power cuts.

The syndicate stated that the meeting tackled the agreements concluded between EDL and service provider companies, which expire on 12/31/2021.

It then briefed the Minister of the method adopted by these service provider companies in collecting bills, where cash is placed in accounts that belong to these companies, adding that “as for checks, it asks the citizen to be issued in the names of these companies.”

“Benefiting from public money is a waste of it,” the syndicate indicated.

It also confirmed its firm position that no powers should be given to companies, that means not to proceed with Book No. 596 issued on 10/11/2021 which is previously sent to the management of the institution, the subject of MOU3 draft.
