Advisor to the Minister of Health Mohammed Haidar stressed on Monday during an interview with Nharkom Said TV show on LBCI that “Lebanon has reached the fourth stage of Coronavirus outbreak.”
He explained that some people did not adhere to preventive measures, social distancing and vaccination, adding that “citizens have great responsibility to contribute to the increase or decrease in the number of cases.”
He also called upon people not to go to overcrowded places, pointing out that “Lebanon has two options, either to close the airport completely, or to rely on the awareness of the citizen.”
“At this point, the ministry is relying on citizen awareness, but if the situation worsens and goes beyond of our control, we will take tougher measures,” he highlighted.
He then stated that when passengers arrive in Lebanon, they should wait for their PCR tests’ results before meeting anyone.
