Mikati tweets: We reiterate our commitment to aiding Syrian refugees

We reiterate our commitment to the relief of Syrian refugees in Lebanon until they have returned back to their homes. Soon a meeting that will encompass all members of international aid organizations will be called upon in order to devise strategies aimed at assisting the humanitarian conditions of the refugees, and seek means of providing assistance.               

These were the statements voiced by Lebanese Premiere Najib Mikati via his twitter account on Wednesday. His comments come following  a joint press conference held by Lebanese Social Ministers Affairs Wael Abou Faour and UN emergency relief coordinator Valerie Amos which was held earlier today following Amos' visits to several Syrian refugees.

“We have always stressed that we would not distance ourselves from our humanitarian duties toward all displaced, and we remain steadfast in this commitment,” Mikati stressed, however he added that the Lebanese government lack the provisions that would fully allow it to "come to the rescue."
 
He called for the assistance of international aid organization in this regard.
