March 14 urges cabinet to make up its mind on STL funding

March 14 General Secretariat slammed recurrent violations of the Lebanese borders by Syrian troops, calling on the Lebanese government to put an end to these breaches and to avoid their recurrence in order to maintain Lebanon’s sovereignty.

Following its weekly meeting, the secretariat said that the time is ripe for the cabinet to make one final decision regarding funding the operations carried out by the Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL).

“If the current government respects international resolutions, it will avoid turning Lebanon into a hub for money laundering and [weapons] smuggling”, the secretariat said.

The secretariat also urged the cabinet to do everything in its power to steer clear from sanctions that will harm Lebanon’s economic interests.
