Public Works Minister Hamieh meets with Swiss Ambassador
Public Works Minister Ali Hamieh met on Friday with Ambassador of Switzerland to Lebanon Marion Weichelt, where they discussed the reconstruction of Beirut Port, the Ministry’s strategic vision, the international tender for the management and operation of Beirut port’s container terminal, and the issue of waste and companies interested in the port’s reconstruction.
 
Hamieh emphasized that “Lebanon’s revival cannot be based solely on external support, while they welcome all unconditional assistance to the Lebanese state,” adding that instead, “the process begins by activating its facilities and improving services in order to boost the revenues of the public treasury and contribute to the strengthening of the country’s sovereign decision.
