Mufti Derian: Attack against the UAE is a heinous crime

Lebanon's Grand Mufti Sheikh Abdel Latif Derian dubbed on Tuesday the attack against the United Arab Emirates as a "heinous crime," adding that it is part of a sequence of terrorist strikes against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and several Gulf Cooperation Council countries that began years ago.

"Any attack on the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the land of the Two Holy Mosques, the United Arab Emirates, or any other Gulf Cooperation Council country is an attack on all Arabs and Muslims," he continued.

Sheikh Derian also noted that the stance of the Dar al-Fatwa is firm stance in regard to these criminal terrorist practices.

"These actions will only be met with rejection, denunciation, and condemnation from us, since they target brotherly Arab countries that have always been supportive of Lebanon and its people in all of the country's tough circumstances," he concluded by saying.
