Abou Faour: Government must take on responsibility of Syrian refugees

 
Minister of Social Affairs Wael Abou Faour said on Monday that despite differences in opinions on the Syrian crisis, the issue of Syrian refugees in Lebanon must be addressed and the government should take on its responsibility in this regard.                                      

After holding a meeting with several donor committees convened by Prime Minister Najib Mikati, Abou Faour revealed a second meeting that will be held on the 17th of December to further discuss the situation of Syrian refugees in the country.                                            

Abou Faour then displayed the budget allocated to each ministry in regards to the Syrian refugees.                  

For his part, Prime Minister Najib Mikati stressed on the necessity for cooperation between Lebanon and the international community with regard to helping solve the issue of the displaced Syrians.             

Mikati indicated that the government had placed a clear plan that would sort out the needs of different ministries and committees concerned with assisting the displaced persons.
