Ghosn to LBC: Negotiation doors opened until October 11

Head of General Federation of Trade Unions Ghasan Ghosn said Friday that a key point in dialogues with economic committees is that wage adjustment “should cover all wages and not only the minimum wage.”

Ghosn told Nharkom Saiid TV show that “doors for negotiation will stay opened until October 11; afterwards, strike action will be our only resort.”

Ghosn confirmed that the federation refuses to budge on the proposed minimum wage for “it leads to a serious wage adjustment”, calling for adjusting wages in line with high living costs.
