Sleiman: LU should become a beacon of knowledge once more

President Michel Sleiman voiced hope that the Lebanese University be once again a beacon of knowledge that will guide young Lebanese scholars and teach them national tenets and pillars.

President Sleiman met with the LU President Adnan al-Sayyed Hussein to discuss the university’s situation. Hussein presented to the president his primary vision for the development of the university.

President Sleiman discussed with State Minister for Displaced People Alaaeddine Terro reconciliation between the Druze and Christian communities in Mount Lebanon, calling for turning, once and for all, the black pages of the war.

Sleiman discussed with Prosecutor General Judge Said Mirza the work of the judiciary and the steps that should be taken to promote its independence.
