MP Aoun: Gov. is deliberately overlooking development in "our" areas

Following the Change and Reform parliamentary bloc's weekly meeting, FPM leader MP Michel Aoun held a televised press conference on Tuesday whereby he presented an array of issues overlooked by the current government, one of them being MEA's mandate extension.

Aoun said that when the bloc approved the aforementioned company's mandate, "it was conditioned that the company make a few adjustments. We're still waiting for those changes," Aoun said. "My words regarding MEA are merely a notice," he added.

On the Jal el-Dib bridge issue, Aoun stressed that the government is authorized to claim property for construction purposes.

Aoun then asked: "What has become of connecting the Metn highway to Bechlama, Mtein?"Aoun called on the relevant sectors to deal with the issues presented today. "The government is deliberately ignoring development in our areas," he stated.
