Newly elected MP Waddah al-Sadiq to LBCI: We support a project that builds the country

Newly elected MP Waddah al-Sadiq in Beirut second constituency confirmed on Thursday that if those seeking change re-elect Nabih Berri as Parliament Speaker, they would not be seeking change anymore.

Al-Sadiq’s comments were made during an interview with Nhakom Said TV show on LBCI, whereby he considered that Hezbollah’s strength comes from its allies, stressing that “they support a project that builds the country.”

He then clarified that those who seek change within the parliament do not have a “magic wand,” noting that putting the country on the right track needs patience and time.

Al-Sadiq concluded by saying that “they have a draft law to improve the industrial sector through a sovereign fund, as well as a free public transport project,” calling on all parties to cooperate in Parliament and put aside political differences.
