Mikati follows up with maritime border demarcation file’s developments
Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati followed up on Tuesday with the latest diplomatic contacts regarding the maritime border demarcation file, as well as what is expected from U.S. envoy Amos Hochstein’s mission.
 
“The Lebanese state is perfectly following up with the data of this sovereign file, which is being dealt with by diplomatic means in order to have positive results and move the indirect negotiations back,” Mikati reiterated.
 
He also emphasized the importance of keeping this file away from internal debates and political calculations, as it concerns all Lebanese, and preserves Lebanon's rights to its waters, natural resources and stability.
