Sahnaoui: Ogero was not prepared to meet Internet demand
Minister of Telecommunication Nicolas Sahnaoui said that DSL Internet service “is now available to all Lebanese people across the country with the required speed,” pointing out that the service was available but its speed was slow and comes at a high cost.”

Despite these initial statements, in an interview on LBCI’s Nharkom Said, the minister said that Ogero did not have the required equipment to upgrade the service and had to collaborate with the Ministry in order to meet demand.

Sahnaoui added that DSL has been working perfectly in Beirut since Friday and will be available all across the country in the coming days.   Sahnaoui stressed the importance of collaboration between all ministers to achieve more for the Lebanese people.

When asked about the 3G services, Sahnaoui mentioned that after October 20 the faster wireless service will cover Beirut, Mount Lebanon and the Metn Area.
