PM-designate Mikati meets with President Aoun

Prime Minister-designate Najib Mikati visited on Friday President Michel Aoun at the Baabda Presidential Palace to discuss the Cabinet line-up.

During the meeting, Mikati expressed his displeasure with the leak of proposed ministerial names in the Cabinet line-up, accusing Baabda of leaking the information, which Baabda denied.

According to sources close to Mikati, minor changes to the lineup were made, including changes to the names, portfolios, and number of ministers, and President Aoun requested time to study them.

This as Mikati and Aoun will meet again the following week.
