Mansour calls for halting Syrian refugees influx

Foreign Affairs Minister Adnan Mansour announced on Thursday that the number of Syrian refugees in Lebanon reached 160,000, stressing that thousands of displaced Palestinians who were living in Syria also entered the Lebanese territories.

In an interview with VDL (100.5), Mansour emphasized that the Lebanese state must deal with this issue with extreme seriousness and that the flow of refugees must be stopped since Lebanon cannot afford further economic and social burdens.

According to Mansour, some Syrian families can change their location inside Syria or leave the country.
