Syrian Embassy denies accusing the UNHCR of discrimination

The Syrian Embassy in Lebanon denied on Friday reports circulated by media institutions stating that the embassy has accused the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) of discrimination while providing help to Syrian citizens.

The embassy added that such accusations are an exploitation of a humanitarian case in favor of political agendas aiming at attacking Syria.

The embassy concluded by expressing hope that the case of the displaced Syrian nationals would be isolated from politics and approached in a humanitarian way.
