Introduction to the evening news 03-01-2013

The process of transferring last year's files to the New Year was very quick, as three main issues were brought to light, including the issue of the Syrian refugees in Lebanon, the electoral law and the national dialogue.

The issue of the Syrian refugees flocking into Lebanon was the only item on the cabinet's agenda during today's session, amid a wide gap between the increasing number of the displaced and the government's inability to meet their demands.

On the other hand, the electoral law started to become a challenging issue between the parties, a few days before the meeting of the parliamentary sub-committee. In this context, it became evident that each party started to engage in the battle before the public ahead of the meeting expected to be held at the hotel.

The last issue is that of the national dialogue which received a strong shock from the Future Movement which declared that it will not return to the dialogue table unless the cabinet resigns.
