General Security to stop receiving special requests for passports
On Wednesday, the Lebanese General Directorate of General Security announced its decision to stop receiving special requests from citizens to bring their passports closer to delivery dates as of Monday, January 9, 2023, pending the adoption of a new mechanism.  

Provided that General Security Directorate continues to receive their applications on their original dates, according to the dates set for them on the platform.  

The passport crisis in Lebanon is still ongoing, with many citizens unable to issue their travel documents, among one of the harshest socio-economic crises in the country.
