Jumblatt calls for a Lebanese 'electoral spring'

Head of the National Struggle Front MP Walid Jumblatt said on Monday that the raging debate regarding the electoral law is witnessing an outbidding that will leave negative repercussions on various levels.

During his weekly stance to Al-Anbaa newspaper, Jumblatt called for a Lebanese 'electoral spring' whereby the Parliament is liberalized from sectarian representation.

Jumblatt also called for moving toward the establishment of a Senate that represents various Lebanese components to deal with major national issues.
