Aoun: We are satisfied with reforms in Syria

Change and Reform bloc MP Michel Aoun said that the Syrian people will come out of the crisis on top and stronger than ever given that the uprising experience did not start in Syria, but in Tunisia, Egypt and Libya. “The country that takes the road of violence, not dialogue, never succeeds”, he said.

“In Lebanon, we were put under the test, and at some point, we all wanted Syria to withdraw from Lebanon. Today we are satisfied with the reforms and we hope they will be implemented immediately”, Aoun said adding “this is how the Syrian people will gradually start heading towards the democratic process away from painful shocks and bloody accidents”.

Aoun added: “We also think about the perpetrators of these accidents, who do not have good intentions”.

He said that the Middle East is facing all kinds of problems that no one mentions, including the violation of all Human Rights.
